As well as all external communications to our clients.<\/p><ul><li>Accessibility checker<\/li><li>Accessible toolbar<\/li><li>External communications such as sales, marketing etc.<\/li><li>Microsoft Office formats, such as documents, spreadsheets and slides<\/li><li>PDFs<\/li><\/ul><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Let\u2019s explore these products and services in depth<\/p><p><strong>Recite Me Products and Services<br \/><\/strong>The Recite Me Assistive Toolbar, Accessibility Checker, and Consultancy services are<br \/>designed to support and enhance digital accessibility. However, the use of these tools and<br \/>services does not, in itself, guarantee compliance with accessibility laws such as the<br \/>Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the European Accessibility Act (EAA), or the Web<br \/>Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). Full compliance may require additional manual<br \/>testing, code-level fixes, and organizational policies beyond the capabilities of automated<br \/>solutions.<\/p><p><strong>Assistive Toolbar<\/strong><br \/>The Recite Me Assistive Toolbar provides users with customisation options to improve their<br \/>browsing experience, including text-to-speech, translation, visual adjustments and reading<br \/>aids. This tool does not alter the underlying code or structure of a website, nor does it<br \/>remediate accessibility issues at the source. As a result, it does not make a website<br \/>inherently accessible or ensure compliance with accessibility regulations. The benefits of the<br \/>Recite Me assistive toolbar is to provide a more inclusive experience to a wider audience<br \/>who may not have their own assistive technology.<\/p><p><strong>Accessibility Checker<\/strong><br \/>The Recite Me Accessibility Checker is an automated tool that scans for common<br \/>accessibility issues and provides recommendations for remediation. While it helps identify<br \/>and address many WCAG-related barriers, automated technology alone cannot detect all<br \/>accessibility issues, such as keyboard navigation failures, logical reading order, or contextual<br \/>alt text accuracy. A comprehensive accessibility evaluation should include manual testing,<br \/>user testing, and expert review to ensure full compliance and usability for all users.<br \/><br \/>The Recite Me Accessibility Checker includes an AI-powered auto-fixing feature that<br \/>temporarily resolves certain accessibility issues at the browser level, such as colour contrast<br \/>adjustments and missing alt text generation. However, these fixes do not modify the<br \/>website\u2019s underlying code and should only be used as a temporary measure while<br \/>permanent, code-level remediation is implemented.<\/p><p><strong>Accessibility Consultancy<\/strong><br \/>The Recite Me Accessibility Consultancy service offers expert guidance, auditing, and<br \/>strategic recommendations to help organisations improve digital accessibility. Manual<br \/>testing is conducted using the criteria based on the WCAG2.2 Guidelines. We run<br \/>through testing to make sure we are abiding by the WCAG principles being<br \/>Perceivable, Operable, Understandable and Robust.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><h3>Assistive software testing<\/h3><p>Products and services must undergo technical testing with each of the following types of assistive software.<\/p><ul><li>Screen reader<\/li><li>Speech recognition<\/li><\/ul><h4>\u00a0<\/h4><h4>Screen reader<\/h4><p>Screen readers are used by people who are blind, visually impaired or have difficulty reading.<\/p><p>A screen reader must be able to read the content of the product.<\/p><p>The most common screen readers are:<\/p><ul><li>JAWS<\/li><li>NVDA<\/li><li>VoiceOver (Apple)<\/li><\/ul><h4>\u00a0<\/h4><h4>Screen magnifier<\/h4><p>Screen magnifiers are often used by people who are visually impaired but have sufficient useful sight to access digital content.<\/p><p>The most common screen magnifiers are:<\/p><ul><li>ZoomText (produced by Freedom Scientific)<\/li><li>Apple Zoom<\/li><\/ul><h4>\u00a0<\/h4><h4>Voice recognition software<\/h4><p>Voice recognition software is used by people with mobility impairments. Anybody who has difficulty using a mouse or keyboard may use voice recognition software.<\/p><p>The most common voice controllers are:<\/p><ul><li>Dragon Naturally Speaking (produced by Nuance)<\/li><li>Voice Control (Apple)<\/li><\/ul><h3>\u00a0<\/h3><h3>Mobile testing<\/h3><p>We will be testing our products with mobile devices to make sure that the services<br \/>work in the correct manner on the device.
