The Equality Act encompasses information previously found in the Equal Pay Act of 1970 and the Disability Discrimination Act of 1995. Under the Equality Act, companies must make reasonable adjustments to make websites more inclusive. Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) prohibits discrimination based on disability. In addition, several individual provinces have their own independent accessibility acts that apply to private and public sector organisations alike.
